Privacy at Story & Shelf

This coming-soon website does not use account sign-ins, advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or an online contact form.
When you contact us
If you email [email protected], we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it only to respond and to continue the conversation you started.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, request time, browser information, and security events.
Shared wishlists
If you choose to create a wishlist link, only the selected book details and list name are shared. Anyone with the link can read or forward it. Private notes, photos and shelf locations are not included.
More about wishlist links
The shared snapshot is hosted by Cloudflare, separately from your private library or backups. Friends do not need an account. It does not automatically change when you edit the wishlist in your app.
Links expire after 90 days. Stop sharing makes the live list unavailable and removes its book details from the active record. It cannot recall screenshots or copies someone has made. Expired records are removed during housekeeping; technical and hosting recovery copies may remain under the provider’s retention arrangements.
Your browser keeps a private stop-sharing link and, while confirming publication, the selected snapshot. Keep the private link if you change devices or clear browser data. It gives control of that shared list, not your account or library.
The sharing service uses a temporary daily hashed network identifier and counts to limit abuse. It does not store raw IP addresses in the wishlist database. Cloudflare may still process technical request information as described above.
Future changes
Before Story & Shelf introduces accounts, mailing-list sign-ups, analytics, or the book-library app, this notice will be updated to explain what information is collected and why.
